NPUC Day of Prayer and Fasting

Dear fellow church leader,

I’d like to personally invite you to join members across the North Pacific Union for a special day of prayer and fasting, April 10, 2020. Please share this invitation with your members as well.

Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to press together and collectively pray for our nation and our world in this time of global health crisis. Here in the Northwest, we’ve set aside April 10 as a special day of prayer and fasting. It’s part of a larger prayer effort by our world church, the 100 Days of Prayer, March 27–July 4.

Adventists from all six conferences in the North Pacific Union are invited to participate in this special day of prayer. In addition to extra personal prayer focus April 10, you’re invited to join a special Facebook Live prayer conference, from 6 – 8 pm Pacific Time/7 – 9 pm Mountain Time.

Facebook Live Prayer Conference Schedule (times listed are Pacific, add one hour for Mountain)

As we look forward to this collective day of prayer and fasting, I encourage you to continue to pray for those affected, for the health care workers caring for those affected, and for those working on a vaccine. Do not let fear and anxiety diminish your faith. Instead, use these moments to draw closer to God. Take this time to talk with family, neighbors and friends on the phone and lift their spirits. Additional prayer resources are available online.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord,” (Jeremiah 29:11–14).
