Mini concerts will begin on Wednesday evening, June 14, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the Academy Church.

Wonder what to do on Tuesday? The Adventist Book Center opens at 4 pm until 6:30 pm. Get your shopping started!


Individuals with medical training are needed who would be willing to be on call during Camp Meeting to help if a medical emergency arises. If you would be willing, please contact Leanne Strickland (208-375-7524 x114Leanne.strickland@idconf.org)
Camp Meeting room and RV space fees are payable by cash or check only.
Camp Meeting meals are purchased through the Gem State Academy cafeteria.

2017 Camp Meeting Speakers

Alex Rodriguez is the Director of Evangelism for the Voice of Prophecy. An ex-Police Officer and Fireman he now dedicates his time to communicating the love of God and the blessing of redemption through spoken word and song. Alex’s hobbies include wood working, photography and farming. He and his wife have four children.


Daughter of missionary parents, Dr. Jo Ann Davidson is also a fourth generation Seventh-day Adventist. She recalls her mother saying to her, "the blessings of being a Seventh-day Adventist have surely seeped into your genes and chromosomes by now!" Formerly a home schooling mom and music instructor, Jo Ann now teaches in the Andrews University Theological Seminary–the first woman to teach in the Theology department.

She earned her Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) in 2000. Articles she has written have appeared in the Adventist Review, Signs of the Times, Journal of the Adventist Theological Society, and Andrews University Seminary Studies, along with a column, "Let's Face It," in the journal Perspective Digest. She has also authored the books Jonah: The Inside Story (Review and Herald), Toward a Theology of Beauty: A Biblical Perspective (University Press of America), and Glimpses of Our God (Pacific Press). Jo Ann finds great fulfillment in her many roles as wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, teacher, musician, student and Seventh-day Adventist Christian.


Richard M Davidson is a J. N. Andrews Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. He has been with the Andrews faculty since 1979.

Davidson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology from Loma Linda University, a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He has presented scores of scholarly papers and written numerous articles, which may be viewed on his website at www.andrews.academia.edu/RichardDavidson. A Love Song for the Sabbath and In the Footsteps of Joshua are two of several books he has authored or co-authored. He is married to Jo Ann Mazat Davidson. They have two children, daughter Rahel and son Jonathan. Davidson enjoys sharing the Word of God and helping to make it come alive in people’s lives, as well as outdoor activities such as backpacking, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, and tennis.


Dr. Stanley Patterson currently teaches and mentors ministry professionals at the SDA Theological Seminary. He serves as Chair of the Christian Ministry Department and teaches classes in Christian leadership and pastoral practics. He also serves as executive director of the Christian Leadership Center of Andrews University which is dedicated to providing Christian Leadership development and guidance to organizations and ministry teams around the world.

He began his pastoral ministry in 1975 in Texas, then Wyoming, Colorado, and Georgia. He served as ministerial director and evangelism coordinator in the Greater New York Conference and for twelve years in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference as ministerial director and later as vice-president for pastoral ministries and evangelism.


He was granted a Ph.D. in Leadership and Administration from Andrews University in 2007 and responded to a call to serve the Seminary in 2008. He has published numerous academic and professional articles on Christian Leadership and has assisted in the development of Christian leaders throughout the world field. 


Glenda and he make their home in Berrien Springs, Michigan and have four children and eight grandchildren.


Dr. César De León is an ordained SDA minister with a license in Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of California. He holds a Master of Divinity from Andrews University, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. 


César is the North Pacific Union Vice-President for Hispanic Ministries, also covering Ministerial, Evangelism, and Global Missions. His wife, Carolann, is an RN with a Master in Marriage & Family Therapy. They have two adult sons: Zac & Jonathan, who are attending Southern Adventist University. César & Carolann are the founders and speakers of “Tu Familia Primero” a bilingual ministry that focuses on the restoration of marriages and families through the power of the Spirit united with Christ-centered psychotherapy.
